Mr. Bergeron--Thanks for taking time to respond.

I'm absolutely not "stuck" on the Texas cavalry having been in Winn Parish; however, I am looking for some suggestions as to Texas newspapers operational and reporting on the War in April 1864. As previously mentioned the Louisiana and Mississippi papers are scanty or Union controlled during this period. Can you point me toward a source or indicate a Texas paper with good War coverage during the period?
