Re: 2nd Texas Infantry Co F- Battle of Corinth

Jackson S. McMahan enlisted as a 1st Lt.(elected) Sep. 5, 1861 at Galveston. Promoted to Capt Oct. 7, 1862 and transferred to Co.G. He died Dec 7, 1862 at Jackson, Ms. The one card I fouind for him with Capt. Co.F was a Muster Roll dated Nov & Dec 1862, I beleive the company should have been Co. G, this card was after his death date and showed promotion and death dates.
Capt McManan, commanding Co.G, appears on a list of killed, wounded & missing at the battle of Cornith, Ms. Oct. 3 to 5, 1862.
