I was flabbergasted when I read your posting!Yes, sir, the venerable William H. Lilly, "One Arm Bill" was my G G Grandfather. The picture of him on the geocities website is the same one hanging in my living room. A family member told me that he hated the Yankees till the day he died...LOL I also have Meadows on both sides of my family tree, both mother and father. My mother's maiden name was Meadows. Calvin Green Meadows was my other grandfather that fought from the same area along with many uncles and cousins, of course one or twice removed.

I am very excited to purchase your book. I want to make a trek to the battlefields where my ancestors fought in the Civil War.
