Re: New 60th Virginia Book
My great-great grandfather served in the 60th VA. I have copies of some letters he wrote home to his wife. He was wounded at the Battle of Piedmont and taken prisoner to infamous Camp Morton. He was transferred to Chimborazo in a prisoner exchange in early '65 and died there in March of the same year. He's buried in a common grave at Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond - marked only by a number. The VA won't provide a marker. His name was John Meredith Crutchfield.
