Hello. Understanding that I am very interested in all of this Civil War and Korean War,
where is the proper place to ask you about the Korean War project?
Also, have you ever worked any more on that 8th Arkansas CSA project of yours?
I was so in hope you would publish it eventually. Or have you already?
My 3rd ggg uncle, Edmund Guthrie, I believe was his name, who had lived in White County was with the
35th Arkansas CSA when a group deserted and went home. I would say he evaluated the situation, and
took off. It was May and he later shows up in the 2nd Arkansas Cav. joining in the fall.
He lived in Pope County, I am pretty sure. I am strictly speaking from the top of my
head. His own descendants never knew he had deserted because they never tracked it far enough back.
However, I can answer you truthfully and say all my direct ancestors marched with the South.
Those were troubled times for all.
