Re: Still more Arkansas Unionists

Lott G. Williams joined for duty on November 22, 1863, at Benton, Arkansas. He was forty-four years old at the time. He was mustered out on March 28, 1864 "by reason of the disbandment of his compnay and his services no longer being required." Bryan Howerton has posted some information about the 4th Arkansas Cavalry in another message.

James E. Williams also joined for duty on November 22, 1863, at Benton. He was eighteen at the time. There is no further information on him in his service record after that. He likely mustered out at the same time as his father.

Both men appear to have received pensions, at least I found them listed in an index. Lott received an invalid pension in 1918, while James got one in 1898. I do not know any of the details of the pension applications.
