Like I said, Kansas regiments are the easiest to work with because they usually recorded a soldier's place of residence. Missouri regiments are a lot more difficult. It's time consuming to be sure. My wife tells her friends that she's the last surviving Civil War widow. But it's a labor of love, and has the added benefit of keeping me off the streets and out of mischief.
