I hope you'll forgive my lapse of memory. You're describing the Georgia militia organizations which served under Maj. Gen. Gustavus W. Smith under Gov. Brown furloughed them all on Feb. 24, 1865.

Many writers give little attention to organizational structure, so your efforts in this area are to be applauded. Having had time to do further research, have you considered publication of your new material? If I may ask another question, are these officers and men from Emanuel County taken from your earlier work?
