One last interesting sidenote is the State of Georgia did have a 2ND Division command structure in place just in case it did have to form and sent to the CSA. Some Col. named Armstrong would have been in command but I have never been able to find out what his fist name was. The Militia "Proper" and Reserve" had only been formed into Battalions and Regiments. It would have been Armstrong's job to form the Battalions and Regiments into Brigades for the 2ND Division if called on. So actually he had no command.
