Good day and hope all is well. James Erwin Blackstock is my Great Grandfather. My father should have the same pension application and widow's pension documents. The easiest way to confirm if we are talking about the same guy is to exchange photos. Do you have a digital version of a photo? I'll upload one tonight and maybe we can exchange them. I've done some basic geneology searches, mostly in U.S. Military Records of his service during the Civil War. A majority of the records for GA troops were destroyed in an effort to protect them from Sherman's advance. Look forward to seeing a photo if you have one.
