Re: 56th GA Inf Reg, J. E. Blackstock

James:
I have images of all the records, plus some text info. I can send in multiple emails or a compressed file. I also have an obituary, death certificate and gravestone photo. I am in touch with others researching their Blackstock roots, potentially through this same James Erwin Blackstock. Our research points to a Civil War Veteran, J.E. Blackstock, that died in Stone Mountain, GA in 1920. His last wife, Martha, died in La Grange GA in 1931. have a info that may connect you to one of James E.'s later daughters that married a Garner. As I said, several of us are looking at the potential that either this one J.E.B had several wives and children by each one or there is a mystery J.E. out there that we cannot properly find a lineage. I hope you have some info that can help us further research.

I will share this info with other researchers on this forum. I hope it is OK to post my email in this forum. You may contact me directly at midwaywoods@mindspring.com. Please put JE Blackstock in subject line so I can sort it from spam. :)

Sincerely,
John T
