Thanks for your concern, but "military genealogy" IS an appropriate topic for this site. We need to discourage non-Civil War or non-Military Genealogy postings, but your "thread" has been exactly in line with the purpose of the site. On the "First Time Visitors" page it states that this message board is for the discussion of Georgia and Georgians in the Civil War. The military service records, pension files and genealogical information related to the war's participants, military and civilian are most welcome.
