Mr. Sewell...I do not know what musket was the most widely used by a Confederate Soldier from Georgia.

I would assume that the musket used would depend upon what muskets were being used by the men in the opposing Federal Forces faced by Georgia Confederate soldiers because as a general rule Federal Soldiers had at their disposal better fire arms than their Confederate counterpart.

The Confederate purchased arms from several European countries in order to arm their forces. Probably not much attention was paid to the maker of the arms, but rather thir availability to be purchased by the Confederate government.

Sorry I cannot furnish you better information concerning the type of muskets used by the Georgia Confederates. Your local library would likely have books depecting the various arms used by the Confederate forces.
