In Response To: Capt. John T. Humphreys ()

Hello everyone this is my first time at this site it's very nice. here's some of what I have on Lees Texas Battery. I found most of this while researching my book on Howell's Texas battery. Roswell W. Lee, was a graduate of West Point and was the 714th cadet to graduate . he was ranked eighth in his class of forty-three. He received his commission in the engineers. Lee served in the Florida Indian War (1836-1837) In 1838 he was dismissed form the United States army for signing galse certificates. He moved to Texas and served in the army of the Republic of Texas. I found this along with other information some of which you all have yourselfs already found. The company rosters are located in the Dallas Tx. City Library.
Lt. Riley Wise Lindsey lived in wagonor after the war. Once I had completed my Howell battery book I thought about adding Lee's battery to it. The only other battery mentioned but appearenty didn't see any action in the nations was Krumbarr's. thanks again
