Thomas R. Freeman served as a judge in Neosho after the war and the local historical society has his papers as well as some photos of him. I have a picture of his large headstone, in the cemetery already mentioned in a posting. He is buried not too far from many of the men he fought in the area, such as Cpt Ruark who fought him many times and later served on many of the city and judicial boards after the war. A most interesting service record. I should also mention that some of the men who served with him and were killed in action in the many battles fought around the area are also buried there in unmarked graves.
