where I am not reseaching Col Freeman.. I am reseaching one of his officers. I am hopeing that in your reseach you have run across a William Campbell, I believe he is listed as J.L. Campbell 1st Lt. on the online roster. I have a copy of a letter supposely written by Col Freeman to William's wife and one that willam wrote her that mentions the Martin Creek battle. if the letters are correct, William died between March and May 1864. I also ran across a lawsuit in 1866 that the defendants were Col Freeman, Love, Campbell, Fox and McFarland and a few others. Some stuff they did to a Brown family in taking thier horses and stuff like that.

But I am hoping you might be able to tell me the Battles during that time period they fought in. For I would be very happy if I knew when he fell in battle, and a likely burial site. with a little more infomation, I am hoping I can find William.
