I have checked and checked also. I have been told that they (his personal Journals/papers) might either be at the historical Socity or at a college near where he lived after the war. but I haven't gotten any answer at this point. I know I have seen a couple of people supposely give quotes from them, but the one place that said they had them - told me they were given to another place, and the person who was the civil war buff is old and doesn't work there anymore.
I would have to look back thru the posts for more detailed info. this just off the top of my head. I have figured my ancestors death down to a couple of battles. but would be nice to know a more exact date and maybe where he was buried. since Col Freeman and Capt Campbell were supposely very good friends (according to a copy of a letter I have) I am hopeing he might have mentioned something in his Journal about it.
