My series is unfinished and I am doing all I can to complete the manuscript of the third and final volume about 1864 and 1865, but the 1863 volume has Freeman's picture and discusses him in at least ten places in the chapters about southeast Missouri. The title for that volume is "Guerrilla Warfare in Civil War Missouri, vol. II, 1863" published by McFarland and Company. Yes, you may order the 1863 volume through your local bookstore, but you would same some money by ordering it directly from the publisher or from one of the better organized online order firms such as Amazon.com. Don't forget that you may view the book by using Interlibrary Loan through your local library for a slight fee. I should add that I am discussing more of Colonel Freeman's exploits in the 1864-1865 volume that is currently in work.
