Mark my word - States Rights
In Response To: Re: States Rights Rerun ()

Pam, I said once, earlier on this board, that what I believe we are witnessing right now and into the future is the start of a long-term trend of returning rights, assumed by the Feds over the last 140 years, back to the states.

Why? Because the Feds are increasingly becoming wound up in their own underwear to the point of reaching a state of near rigor mortis when it comes to doing jobs that are important to the states - cite Katrina rebuild, immigrant control, emergency response and others.

Once this trend is established, we will then see increasing number of requests by the states to return state revenues (in one way or another) back to the states to support state-assumption (no - RE-assumption) of these same responsibilities.

This is happening right now and when it really takes hold it will represent a great vindication of all the Confederacy and the CAUSE once stood for!

I will say - Mark my word!
