Just tell me the side the kinfolks fought on and I can tell you their point of view.
Education and time do NOT make a difference if any history of the family has been taught.
I decided this morning not to post what I really wanted to post and that is that.
But see what I have to say without writing a word.

Linda T. Acrey

relative of:
1. Lt. Fielding Price, 1st Arkansas CSA, d. Feb. 1, 1865 leaving a widow and houseful of little children to starve

2. Pvt. James Thomas Harper, 5th Tenn, CSA wounded at Shiloh who walked with a stiff leg and limp for the rest of his life

3. Sgt. J. D. Pearce, 8th Arkansas, CSA wounded at Shiloh, shot through and through, and one of a handful of men who lived out of the 8th. His cousin died that first day.

4. Solomon Moore, 36th Arkansas, CSA, captured at Helena,
who was still alive when the war ended, but never came home. His widow married a man from the 36th who was his friend.

5. Michael Owen Guthire, 10th Ar., Co. D. wounded at Shiloh on the first day, died before April 30th at Cornith

6. Frederick Guthrie, 10th Ar. Co. D. captured near Natchez and died in Indiana within the year

7. Pleas H. Loyd, Sgt. 36th Arkansas, walked home from Texas and died within the year

8. Lt. Frederick Price, brother to Fielding Price, who rode with Gen. Sterling Price and lived to old age in White County Arkansas

9. Fielding Guthrie, 10th Ar., Co. D. came home and married his brother's widow

10. Nelson Guthire who served in the local milita and survived the war in Pope County, Arkansas

Now do you see what I feel about your posting?
