That's the truth of it David. Some of us 'old timers' remember Atlanta when it was considered a Southern City. Now we put a disclaimer on it. It dawned on me last week when I went to the Alabama Archives that now no one goes 'to' Montgomery, they go through it unless they have a darn good reason to stop. We put our focus on the smaller towns that have the same 'feeling' and charm that we have been used to. Even in these, there are many changes. The South was a war torn country more than once but we keep on rebuilding. We do think it's worth it don't we? ;)
