Ok, thank you for your response. I better understand your point.
I was not saying that Paul was being emotional, but explaining that I originally offered the analogy of Germany, Islam, and the Soviet Union to help provide a different perspective to my point void of emotional attachment. Because some people are very attached to Confederate symbols, it may be hard to objectively analyze the difference between dealing with the Confederacy in a classroom and dealing with it in the public sphere. This is very understandable. I brought up a couple of other controversial subjects that many people here are not attached to, which may help put my point into a different perpsective. That was my whole point.
And, I have no problem with you joining or jumping into discussions. You are the man who makes this site possible, so you definitely have a right to participate as much as you would like. :)
