I looked online hoping to find some Mississippi websites that would tell about the trade on the Pearl River in the WBTS but I found nothing. Seems to me it would be hard for a bunch of deserters in Jones County to use the Pearl River for trade to New Orleans since it mostly runs in the western part of the state and Jones in in the eastern part of the state. I would think they would have to dodge Columbia since it was a very pro-Confedertate area. Maybe the ORs have something???
