Chief, Johnston apparently didn't feel quite the same way as Lee about Sherman. He attended Sherman's funeral, standing outside in the cold during the ceremonies, hat in hand. When asked why he did not at least put his hat on, Johnston said of Sherman, "He would do no less for me". As a result of his exposure to the cold, Johnston contracted pneumonia and died several days later. Now that is respect. (And I'm a Georgian!) Stan
