I never tried to join them as I saw no point in it. I'm still waiting on the Sons of the American Revolution to answer my emails. I emailed them monthly for years before I gave up. I once was supposed to meet with them at the historical library in Alexandria, Louisiana. They never showed up and offered no apology. The kicker is they were members of my SCV Camp. I got even with them at the Lee/Jackson banquet shortly there after when General Leroy Stafford's (Camp named after him) great-grand-daughter insisted I sit at her table so she could have her cousin with her. You see, General Stafford is related to us po' old Roberts and she knew it. Put that in your self glorifying pipe and smoke it SAR ;-)
