I made a survey of my family in the Civil War and toured all major battlefields in or near Kentucky. Union City, Shiloh, Tupelo, and all cities visited by Forrest Cavalry Command. Forrest had battles at Union City. They are all listed in my repport filed at the Fulton, Hickman libraries and the Kentucky Historical Society. I enjoyed following in their footsteps and I am very proud of the gallant careers they all had, they were all in critical battles of the Civil War. Ironically, I found that there were Busharts in the Union Command that no one knew about. They opposed each other at Shiloh and various other known battles including the Nashville Campaign. I included them in my reports since they were actually cousins. I found that the Honor Roll at Stones River National Battlefield has one buried there from the 74th Ohio Infantry, Pvt. Jacob Bushart, killed on the first day of battle.

I am very proud of my dads family and I completed my compliments to my dad by making a complete survey of his family stored in history as per above. Glad to read your letters and E Mail, seems like you all know about the war of wars.
