I have a John Sawyers in my lineage, b 1842. He was my grandmother's, grandfather (Father's side). Can you tell me who the siblings of Major John Sawyers were? My John had several childen by spouse, Rebecca Newman. I have his pension application for being a Civil War veteran, but can't track down any more on him. Don't know if he was Union or CSA. Can't find who his parent's might be. All of his children were born at Talbert's Station, Tennessee, which seems to no longer be in existance. The family moved to Texas in the 1880s or 1890s. Settled west of Ft. Worth, TX. Thanks . Steve Young
