He wrote "The Loudon County Area of East Tennessee in the War 1861-1865" and a long time resident, retired teacher, and regional historian. We worked with me on a project of mine on Philadelphia, Tennessee a number of years ago.

Also, the Knoxville Civil War Roundtable may be of some assistance. They usually have contact with subject matter experts that live in the region. I will be back in the region on the weekend of November 21-22, 2009. The Chief Historian for the Chattanooga and Chickamauga National Military Park and myself will be conducting a Historical Walking Tour at Sherman Reservation, time and day will be refined in the coming weeks. This walking tour will focus on the fighting on the north end of Missionary Ridge on November 25, 1863 and will include the actions of the 39th Georgia Infantry and Cumming's Brigade.
