You may want to also contact Miss Betty Broyles of the Rhea County Historical Society and last I heard the County Historian and does have knowledge of Meigs County. She is also the compiler of your of your documents that you referred to earlier. I spoke to the Rhea County Historical Society around 2000.

You will want to do that quick because she is into her 90's but the last time I talked with her several years ago she was still sharp. She was present at the Scope's Monkey Trial in 1925 and was around 10 years old at the time.
