Do you have any information about when the 14th actually crossed the river? It is often referred to as still with the 15-16-17-18 regiments in Arkansas. Somehow, and at sometime, it became separated from these other units and crossed to join Van Dorn. I don't see how it could have ever served with Walker's division. Any ideas?
