Yes Sir, I think your probably correct. I know that I'm looking for these soldiers: Lt. L.L. Bailey; Lt. R.G. Lane who was a surgeon I beleive; Captain M.L. Sims; John L. Jamison; John J. Goodloe; and H.J. Goodloe. These soldiers appear to be with Goulds sorry if I mispelled Gouds? 23rd Regiment Texas Cav. This outfit or Company was captured at Fort Donelson,TN in Feb. of 1862. Yes, I did see where Clarkville was mentioned in the history of the unit. I believe I have found the unmarked grave of H.J. Goodloe and his story is rather remarkable. I need to know some information about him. Was his first name Haywood for example? Can anyone confirm that this unit was at Fort Donelson? Jamison was taken to Camp Douglas and the rest of the aboved soliders were taken to Camp Chase. If H.J. Goodloe turns out to be Haywood J. Goodloe then I have found a rather rare unidentified grave as Haywood Goodloe was a black Confederate and at one time the servant of John J. Goodloe. Thx in advance
