Judging from the locations, and since Bullock was
not formed until Dec 1866, these could have been
Macon County soldiers."

This one poses the same problem as William J. MARTIN
(two of them with the same unit and two apparently
different burial sites and wives) on previous messages.

Previously, you provided:
"These in Bullock County:
Thomas D. Martin: Pvt, Co B, 23d Ala Inf; May 14,
1836-Jun 7, 1861.
“All buried Sardis Cemetery, County Road 22 south-
west of Union Springs at Sardis."

And I indicated previously:
I don't find a Thomas D. Martin serving in Co. B, 23rd Alabama Infantry.
I show:
600. Martin, T. A., Co. B, 23 Ala. Inf., Private/Private
Also, I have ten listings of MARTINs who served in the 23rd,
but J. A. and T. A. are the only two for Co. "B". Do you think T. A. MARTIN might be
your guy? Guess there is a possibility J. A. and T. A. could be readings for T. D.????

So, I'm baffled! Any suggestions or comments about this?

Wonder if in fact there were two William J. MARTINs who served in the same unit
and if in fact there were two Thomas MARTINs who served in the same unit
--OR--if I'm missing some information in my list
