"MARTIN, Horace Walpole; Sgt., 4th Piece
2nd Alabama Battalion Light Artillery, Company F “Lumsden's Artillery Battery”
I've bumped into "another" Horace W. Martin, who applied for a pension in Hardeman County, Texas in 1913. This soldier said he was 69, born in Greene Co., Alabama, had lived in Quanah, TX for 23 yrs, and had lived in TX for 44 years. He was an attorney and indicated he had served in Co. "A", Robertson's Battalion and was wounded at Nashville, TN. At the time he applied he was blind in both eyes.
Do you think this is perhaps the same person or another?
