June 63?, I sure had that surmised all wrong. That's good though, everyti I start getting sassy, something like this brings me back down to humble reality.
Just assuming the 21st probably lost more on the 6&7 April 62 than the rest of the entire war, the odds told me that's probably where Pvt Baker met his demise. Probably died from measles, pox or diarrhea or something like that. I'll have to research more on the 21st and where and what they were doing summer of 63. Weren't a Vicksburg I don't think.

Grand Junction? there is a Grand Junction, Tenn. about 45 miles west of Corinth and 50 miles west of Shiloh too but I'd have figured the 21st would have been back down on the coast doing whatever the did around Ft Morgan and Pickens, etc.
Neither Google or Bing maps show a modern day Grand Junction, Ala.

I really appreciate the info and I feel 98% that that is my Thomas Baker under all the circumstantial evidence. Confident enough that I will make note of it in the family file but with an unproven asterisks and requesting info from others that might know of him.
