A nice letter received from the Lagrange City Recorder this morning.
I might assume that if there is a mass grave in Lagrange that there is also a mass grave in, or near, Grand Junction, 4 miles away.
Mr. Rex Brotherton of that area can probably shed some light on the matter.

Dear Mr. Stevens:

There is a mass grave site in the La Grange’s Cemetery that was for soldiers killed during the Civil War in this area. The La Grange’s Cemetery Association does not have any information concerning names of the soldiers who were buried there. I have forwarded your email to Rex Brotherton of the Bank of Fayette County. He is into Civil War history and knows a lot about Grand Junction and the Town of La Grange. I am hoping he can provide you with some information. I am sorry I could not help you with any more information. The Town of La Grange has a brochure on the town and I would be happy to mail you one if you will email me your mailing address.
