I have been waiting on a response from Rex Brotherton (see letter in previous post) and that's assuming Ms Downen forward my query to him about this.
If I don't hear from him by Monday I will write him at the bank he works.
I think Rex will be my best best at this time but will sure start calling or emailing around until I find something out. I am just totally surprised ther is nothing to found online aboout a hospital in Grand Junction but several mentions of one in Lagrange with 150 of our boys buried in a mass grave from that hospital. I am wondering if the CSR card on Thomas J Baker was written in error and the company clerk, or whoever, meant the hospital was at Lagrange.

But I think if anyone would know, or my best bet, at this point it will Rex Brotherton.

I hate to beat this thread to death but for those that are interested I will surely post here everything that I find out, or don't find out also. This is a very interesting state of affairs to me.
An entire mass burial that appears to just be gone with the wind just can't be. There has to be a logical explanation somewhere.

I did post a query at the TN forum and nary a reply so far with 22 views. Same with a message at the Find A Grave TN message board, with one reply but no answer.
I do enough, or a ton of, family history work that I very well understand family type civilian graveyards getting lost and forgotten over many years, I just find it perplexing that a mass grave of Confederate soldiers falling through the cracks. That just can't be.
