I'll see what I can dig up on Pons for you Zack. We have some stuff at our Genealogy Library that isn't really all that well known. Some family files and stuff. I do know there was a Pons who was a friend of my Caro ancestor but not sure if it's the one you are looking for. Have you checked with Dean DeBolt at the University of West Florida? He has the archival collection on a whole bunch of stuff that the County Archives and the Historical Society does not have. He's super easy to work with and get info from.
