Nannie was William Snow Brewers (my great grandfather) sister. Making her my Great Aunt? what i have found out about her is that she was maried first to Samual Houston Allen. He died in 1873. She married Franklin Pierce West in 1874. He was killed in 1886. Sam Starr (Belle's husband)and Frank killed each other at a barn dance. She then married James A Cash. He died in 1911.
Interestingly, her bother Richard West married the sisters of Allen and West.
The great great granddaugther of Franklin Pirece West has his gun that killed Sam Starr. She lives in Briairtown.

I assume you have seen the monument dedicated to Thomas Fox Taylor at Manard Bayou? It pretty cool. I had read just whqat you said abuthis capture and being killed by the Pin Indians. Not sure where his is buried. Probally not tellling you anything you don't already know.....but he was one of the most respected people of his time.

Do you have any pictures of Nannie or any of the Brewers or Taylors.....I would great appreciate having a copy of them.

Unfortunately for me...being one of the youngest grandkids....there was not many Brewers that I remember and the stories and history wasn't discussed. My Grandfather, David Brewer, son of William Snow, died when my nmother was 7 or 8.
