We need more info about each soldier named "Brewer" in this Cherokee Mtd Volunteers' Regt that has proven rather hard to learn.

Some data about Civil War veterans can only be learned from family records, i.e. Brewer family records in this case. ..Believe me, I have spent hundreds of hours trying to identify Civil War-era soldiers who served in North Texas and Indian Territory. ..About 10 percent of Bourland's Regt were found beyond Texas, while about 5 percent of the men in the 240 North Texas militias were found beyond the 24 North Texas counties that I address, of which about 2 percent were from beyond Texas. ..Please know that I address the Civil War-era data of the Texas counties pointed up on my web page:
