I know you have most if not all this info but others might not. Luara and children are found in 1860 census in Dents Station, Liberty Township, St Francois County Missouri. I suspect Benjamin was still on the lam for the Rosebury incident. In the FWIW and interesting speculation mode, Liberty Twship was home to a number of well known characters of the SEMO guerilla war including the Barnes clan, and Sam Hildebrand considered it friendly territory. Talbotts were next door to the (likely run by a relative hers, John Farris) Farris Store which "supplied" a number of folks during the war I believe.

Laura is again found with family in the 1870 Census listed as Lawra Talbert in Liberty Twsp Washington Co Missouri (Post Office Osage)

Lucian Farris was a representative to the Missouri Legislature in 1858-1860 from Reynolds Co I believe, giving Ben Talbott a certain amount of political pull. He and John W/A Farris have a rap sheet of a dozen or so entries in the Provost Marshall files and Lucien was conscripting for the rebel army in Oct 1864. It also appears that the Farris family had ties to Talbott in Illinois and at least 2 Farris family members served in the Black Hawk War with Talbot. Thus the old coot had plenty of field time to learn the ways of military irregular warfare. Black Hawk War, Mexican War, and Civil War.

Dent's Station was on the Iron Mountain Railroad about 30 miles sw of Bismark and was important enough to warrant entry onto "Lloyds American Railroad Map and the seat of the war" Published 1861.

Talbott at various times bought land in Illinois, Jefferson Co MO, Washington Co MO. I did not find a probate record for him.
