I emailed Dan, I also would like to know where the 9th MS Infantry came from. There are a few we have found around here that say 3rd battalion MS state troops, who folks have listed in the 9th and 24th. So there is no record of him being on a muster or roster of the 9th MS infantry? I will pass this along to the potential member, but Even if he just served a few days he can still join the SCV off him. He has other Uncles who were Byrds he can alos join off of. Ya know, there are not too many 9th MS INFANTRY burried around here, but there is a bunch of 9th MS cavalry. We got some stones around here that read 9th MS cavalry that should read 15th Confederate.
