Thanks, The response has been good. It is rewarding to be listened to and also I am glad to be able to help in clearing up a mystery. If the MS Dept of Archives has misinformation, you are correct in assuming that some family member didn't remember correctly when they turned it in years later. Also I am glad someone is checking into the situation with the 9th Inf and Cav by checking the muster rolls. That will be the definitive proof. I would like to know the outcome. Thanks again.
