My apologies. It was not the regularly organized units of Partisan Rangers I was referring to. But the more irregular units who attached themselves to this moniker. My sincere apologies, I did not intend to impugn regularly organized, recognized units of Partisan Rangers with command and control. Mississippi was full of units who called themselves "Partisan Rangers" but refused any sort of command and control and regularly ignored lawful orders.
