Then, "rdfx," let's replace "many, nearly everyone" by nearly all TV shows, nearly all newspaper articles, all K through 12 textbooks (find one, even in the South, that damns Lincoln and give me it's ISBN), all US government spokespersons, nearly all State and County spokespersons, nearly all young to middle age adults who are a product of our public education system, and so on.
No doubt - it is "Many, nearly everyone," and I would include, in my opinion, quite a few demographics even in the South who have been "educated" via our public education system. But, who is to say how many of the America's population is represented by "many, nearly everyone?"
That was just an imprecise way of expressing my personal opinion about an imprecise number, and you know it. Face it, "rdfx" the fact that Lincoln "trashed the Consitution" is not taught, spoken about (except in small forums not widely publicized) or published in textbooks.
I'm left wondering what your counter point actually was?
