Frank, I had an old newspaper article about Union or Rabun County GA. A man was petitioning Joe Brown to put some men in the local defense...State Militia, whatever you want to call it. His words were something to the effect that the men didn't mind fighting to defend GA, but had no use for fighting for the Confederacy, I will try to find it, I think I may have sent it to my cousin.
