Re: Battle of Massard Prairie, Arkansas

For what it is worth, I show 119 men of the 6th Kansas Cavalry who were captured at Massard Prairie who were at Camp Ford. Three of them died, and at least 115 were in the final parole from this Camp on May 22, 1865. One man, Marion Holderman of Company "D" is listed on the parole lists, but did not sign his name.

I show an additional 42 prisoners captured on September 16, 1864 from the 2nd Kansas Cavalry. Some show place of capture as Massard Prairie, and others show "near Ft. Gibson" Obviously it is a different skirmish, but I toss if in if you are interested.

I do not have any union diaries or letters regarding these regiments.
