Re: Battle of Massard Prairie, Arkansas

Dale, I show three from the 2nd Kansas, Goodner, Milliman, and Benson, who were listed as being captured at the 9/16/engagment at Massard Prairie, who are listed on the May 22, 1865 parole lists as having escaped. I have an article from the Kansas Historical Quarterly relating to the escape of JOnes, Parker, Derracrow and Henderson on 10/27/64. Are these the ones you are referencing. I am always looking for new material.
Regarding the 9/16/64 engagement, all of them are from the 2nd KAnsas, with the exception of Lt. D,M. Sutherland, 1st Kan Col., Judson Crookham, 13th Kan, Inf, the place captured show "Flat Rock" for Sutherland and Crrokham, and "Massard Prairie" and "near Fort Gibson" for the rest. I don't know if these reflect poor record keeping or what on the parole lists.

I have a total of 327 Kansas prisoners on the data base. Let me know what you are interested in.
