Did your great-grandfather leave any letters or other accounts of his service? Also, by chance, do you have a photograph of him?

I am working now to assemble all possible original source material on the battle.

Also, by chance, have you seen Gano's official report of the battle? I have been attempting to track it down without success. It was not available when the OR were put together and is not in the collection of his papers in Texas.
