Some corrections on Damrons in Fannin County:
Capt. John Henry Damron was not the son of Constantine Ladd Damron although some earlier researchers thought so. All evidence, though admittedly circumstantial, is that he was the son of Constanine's sister Hulda Majors Damron.
George Damron was a sister of Hulda Majors Damron. They were children of Capt. John Damron and Anna Ladd. Capt. John Damron and Anna Ladd were the parents of Anna Ladd Damron who married James Fisher thus the great grandparents of John King Fisher.
John Henry Damron's first wife Mary Elizabeth Melugin (mother of all his children) died in 1870. He married Nancy Blanton in 1872 in Grayson County. John Henry and Nancy Damron were still in Fannin County for the 1880. It was in 1886 that they moved to Brown County and settled in Turkey Peak and Bethel community. Although it may be possible that they moved to Brown County earlier and returned to Fannin County then went back.
