Re: Martins 5th Partisan Rangers
Thank You. I had most of the info on John Filo Fairchild being absent from May 1, 1863. I found a skrimish that occured in May, 1863 by Martins 5th Partisan Rangers. I'm trying to find if he died in that skrimish. His daughter (1852-1956) remembers her father died in the Civil War. What she didn't remember is how they found out he died at Fort Washita Ok in May 1863. John never returned home to wife and children after he left Kimble County to join up with Martins 5th in Greenville, TX in 1862. I am trying to prove where he died and if there is any record of his death recorded anywhere. I am looking for any prove that may be out there about John.
Thanks again,
Janie
